Library Introduction

The College of Life Sciences Library system consists of a central library which collectively supports the teaching, research and extension programmes of the institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the institute are entitled to make use of the library facilities on taking library membership. The library, besides having a huge collection of books on life sciences and paramedical subjects offers library services through its various divisions.

Library hours :
Monday – Saturday 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM
The library remains closed on Sunday and on Govt. holiday

Library computerization:

The library uses libsys software package which is an integrated library management system that supports all in house operations of the library. The libsys consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials and OPAC retrospective conversion of bibliographic records. More than 1400 bibliographic records of books available in the library, can now be accessed though the libsys OPAC. The database of books available in the library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books.

Collection:

The library has a rich collection of books on Sciences including, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Sciences and Paramedical. Library also has a good collection in the areas of life sciences.
