Departmental activities:
Microbiology department has provided four to six months project training in IVth semester included in their curriculum for (B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Phil.) students from various reputed institutes. The main areas of dissertation are Antibacterial and Antifungal activities against different pathogens, Study of Growth kinetics of different microorganisms, Effect of Probotics, Production and Purification of Enzyme. Students are allocated individually with the faculty of Department. The format for dissertations is similar to the thesis style incorporating introduction, materials & methods, results, discussion and bibliography. The dissertation is submitted in a type written and bound form and a copy of each dissertation is submitted to the departmental library. Our Students also go for their Dissertation work various CSIR Research Institute Like CDRI, DRDO, CIMAP, IITR, etc. and various pharmaceuticals industries like RANBAXY,CADBURRY,LUPIN etc.
Department has also given short term training of ten days, fifteen day, one month, for, two months.
In B.Sc. Microbiology department many students have been taken summer training, Project and Internship for seven days to two months on various aspects of Haematology, Histopathology, Biochemistry and Radiology.
Total seven minor research projects have been sanctioned by UGC out of them three are completed and rest four are ongoing entitled as:
